DETAILED INFORMATION

The ICT50220 – Diploma of Information Technology course is designed for people with substantial experience in a range of information technology settings and who are seeking to further develop their skills across a wide range of information technology areas.

This course is also suited to the needs of individuals with little or no vocational experience, but who are interested or possess sound theoretical IT knowledge and skills that they would like to further develop in order to pursue further education and employment opportunities.

Over the course of 12 months, learners will be trained through a blend of vendor-specific and vendor-neutral information technology topics.

Units of Competency

To achieve qualification ICT50220 – Diploma of Information Technology learner must complete 20 units of competencies which includes 6 core units and 14 electives units.

Pre-requisites

This qualification has no pre-requisites as per the training package guidelines. However, Logitrain has entry requirements which must be met in order to be accepted in this course.

Academic Entry Requirements

To enrol in this qualification, applicant must be 18 years or older at the time of enrolment, completed an equivalent of Australian Year 12 or Certificate IV or higher, satisfactorily complete a course entry interview/pre-training review, and possess LLN skills in par with ACSF Level for Diploma qualifications (which will be demonstrated through undertaking an LLN test). RPL will be considered on a case by case basis upon candidate application.

Advanced Diploma of Information Technology or a range of other Advanced Diploma qualifications.
